How to Restore the Classic Start Menu in Windows 11

Restore the Classic Start Menu in Windows 11

Simply follow below steps to restore the classic Windows 10 Start Menu in Windows 11 :

First of all, search for the  regedit from the search box and select Registry Editor as shown in image below:

You can also open Registry Editor using shortcut keys. Use Windows key + R to launch the Run dialog box and type regedit and click OK button.

When the registry editor opens, copy and paste the below path into the address field at the top and browse it:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

After that, create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it Start_ShowClassicMode. To do that, right-click on Advanced label and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value as show in image below:

Next, double-click on the key you just created above and set the Value data 1 and click on OK button:

0 or <delete> = Default Start Menu
1 = Classic Start Menu

Once you are done, restart your system and you should see classic Windows 10 Start Menu restored.
