Disable or Enable Startup Programs in Windows 11
To disable or enable auto startup applications and programs in Windows 11, follow steps below:
Step 1 : List All Auto Startup Programs
To find out the name of the programs and apps which start automatically at Windows startup, point to the icon (as shown in image below) with your mouse.
When you point the icon, it will show a label named Show hidden icons on mouse hover:
When you click on this icon, it will list out all programs that automatically start on Windows startup.
Step 2 : Disable auto Startup Programs
After find all the programs that start automatically, you can disable or stop them using steps below:
First, click on the Start button and select Settings gear icon as shown in image below:
On the Settings screen, click on the Apps and then Startup as shown in image below:
At the Startup Apps screen, choose the program that you want to disable and set it to Off as shown below:
You can also disable auto startup program using task manager, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys from your keyboard and select Task Manager then select Startup.
At the Startup, select the program that you want to disable and then select Disable:
